Brian Broyles

Brian Broyles has over 24 years in Fanuc Robtics Programming Experience. At the age of 14 Brian used his paper route money to buy a TRS80 Color Computer and taught himself Basic programming soon after. Creativity has been one of Brian’s biggest strengths. His background in programming, avaiation maintenance, automotive repair, and engineering has helped to round out this skill.

Brian has also been programming machine vision system for almost as long as they have been in the market place. He has worked on the oldest built-in Fanuc Vision systems as well as the newest Cognex and MVtec Halcon systems.

As an employee of PPG Glass for 12 years, Brian has learned what constitutes a user friendly system. Having to work with production day to day, Brian developed operator interfaces for all sorts of automation equipment that are intuitive, quick to recover and rarely require a manual to operate.

Brian has created several self-training machine vision system for glass inspection, looking for defects in the paint band and clear area down to the 1/10th of a millimeter without slowing down the process. These vision systems utilize flexible region of interest to determine where to look for defects.
